• 同现在事实相反：

（条件句）一般过去时/were＋（主句）should/would + 动词原形

• If I had the book at hand, I should/would read the passage to you.

• If he were here now, he would not let the matter end this way.

• 同过去事实相反

（条件句）过去完成时＋（主句）should/would have + 过去分词

• If he had come yesterday, I should/would have told him about it.

• 表示对将来的假设

（条件句）1）一般过去时；2）were + 不定式；3）should + 动词原形
 （主句）should/would + 动词原形

• If it rained tomorrow, I should/would stay home.

• If the sun were to rise in the west, my love for you would be unchanged. (“were＋不定式”比“should+动词原形”所表示的实现可能性更小)

• 表示错综复杂的条件

• If you had taken the medicine yesterday, you would be well now.

• If you hadn’t watched the late movie last night, you wouldn’t be so sleepy.

• 
  

• 虚拟表示条件

• if it were not for …, if it had not been for…

• if引导的条件状语从句中有were, had, 或者should，可以省略if，并使用倒装

• Were John here now (If it were not for John), I would explain the whole matter.

• 虚拟用在宾语从句

• Wish àI wish I were a bird./ I wish that she had stayed at home.

• 宾语从句中的谓语常用“should+动词原形”，但是should往往省略

• 要求：ask, require, request, demand, insist, desire, maintain

• 建议：propose, suggest, urge, advise, recommend, move

• 命令：command, order, instruct, direct

• 安排或者决定：arrange, decide
